Saint-Gobain Glass partners with LuxWall to launch INSIO® in Europe

Saint-Gobain Glass, worldwide leader in flat glass for building applications, and LuxWall, the pioneer in transparent insulation technology, have announced a strategic partnership to bring INSIO® next-generation vacuum glazing to the European market. Through this collaboration, Saint-Gobain Glass will integrate LuxWall’s transparent insulation technology into its groundbreaking INSIO® solution, marking a major milestone in the transition to energy-efficient building envelopes.

LuxWall’s transparent insulation technology reimagines the role of glass in buildings, transforming it from one of the largest sources of energy loss into a high-performing solution for energy conservation. The integration with Saint-Gobain Glass’s INSIO® solution represents a powerful step toward enhanced building performance with measurable reductions in energy costs and capital expenditure.

“We are delighted to partner with LuxWall, bringing two innovative companies together in order to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient buildings and retrofit solutions,” said Nicolas Mondy, Vice President of the Glass Performance Segment of Saint-Gobain. “INSIO® will allow us to support our customers to address building decarbonization challenge while enhancing window conception possibilities without compromising on tenant comfort.”

Energy loss through windows and glass façades accounts for roughly 40 percent of buildings’ heating and cooling demand. By pairing Saint-Gobain Glass’s global expertise and scale with LuxWall’s transparent insulation innovation, the INSIO® solution helps building owners, architects and developers drastically reduce energy waste without compromising design or daylighting.

“Our mission at LuxWall has always been to reduce building energy consumption and carbon emissions at a price point that enables universal access for all,” said Scott Thomsen, CEO and Founder of LuxWall. “Partnering with Saint-Gobain Glass enables us to bring this mission to life on a global scale. Together, we’re transforming the building envelope from an energy liability into an essential asset for a sustainable future.”
