British-based Royal Doulton Plc. has anounced its results for the year ended 31 December 1995. Turnover was up 6.7% to UK 242.8 million (UK 227.5 million in 1994), profit before tax rose 20.7% to UK 15.2 million (UK 12.6 million) and adjusted earnings per share stood at 17.8p following an increase of 15.6% (15.4p). Royal Doulton also increased their dividend payment to 8.5p (7.5p). Tableware sales were up a third at UK 242.8 million. Shortly after the year end, Royal Doulton acquired Holland Studio Craft, a manufacturer of high quality hand-painted figurines produced by the cold-cast method. Holland Studio Craft is a small business with annual sales of approximately UK 3 million.
