UK laminated and photovoltaic glass manufacturer Romag increased annual sales of its PV architectural glass by 40%, raising the product“s contribution to total sales to 40%. Lyn Miles, chief executive, said the move towards PowerGlaz was improving overall margins and a further two production lines were scheduled to open in 2008, doubling capacity. Total sales rose GBP 1 million to GBP 17.4 million in the year to 30 September 2007 as pre-tax profits increased from GBP 1.9 million to GBP 2.8 million. Earnings per share rose from GBP 0.031 to GBP 0.047 and the proposed final dividend of GBP 0.075 will increase the total pay-out for the year 15% to GBP 0.0115.
