The 1996 operating earnings of Finnish engineering group Raute Oy are expected to improve on 1995. Raute reported a FM 6.4 million operating profit in 1995. Raute said it expects its 1996 net sales to remain at the 1995 level of FM 782.9 million, as reported in Glass Machinery Plants & Accessories no. 4-96. Raute has also recently announced its results for the first four months of the year. The Finnish company declared an operating loss of FM 11.0 million (down from a profit of FM 1.3 million for the respective period in 1995), with earnings per share showing a loss of FM 3.3 per share (FM 0.4 profit). However net sales increased to FM 215.4 million (FM 172.3 million).
