Container glass manufacturer RASCO (the Russian-American Glass Company) is to invest RUR 392.5 million (USD 16.03 million/EUR 10.94 million) in its Voronezh Glass Works subsidiary. The investment will go into upgrading the first production line. The company will use its own funds of nearly RUR 78.1 million and take out loans for RUR 314.4 million. The regional parliament included the investment project in its programme for economic and social development 2007-2011 and granted tax benefits to the company. RASCO is based in the Vladimir region (Central European Russia) and is the leading producer of glass bottles in Russia.
