In 1995, he established Luoyang NorthGlass Technology, one of China’s earliest high-tech enterprises dedicated to the R&D, design and manufacturing of glass deep-processing equipment. Under his leadership, the company developed China’s first horizontal roller-type glass bending and tempering furnace unit, breaking the monopoly of foreign companies. In 2004, NorthGlass successfully developed a new generation of “truly flat and distortion-free” tempering units, providing key glass products for several national projects, including the National Centre for the Performing Arts and Olympic venues. Up to now, NorthGlass has accumulated over 400 patents.

Li Chunchao, Marketing Director of NorthGlass, attended the awards ceremony on behalf of Chairman Gao Xueming and delivered a speech. He reflected on the company’s 30-year journey, saying, “In the first decade, we established standards from scratch; in the second decade, we transitioned from standards to ‘non-standard.’ And now, in the third decade, NorthGlass is steadfastly expanding globally, creating more possibilities within the ‘non-standard’ realm.”
