Earlier this summer, the GGF (Glass & Glazing Federation) announced that the Group CEO, John Agnew, would be retiring within the year. It’s now confirmed that John retired as of September 15, 2025.
Leadership continuity will be provided by the GGF Group Board and Executive Management Group (EMG) while the process of appointing a new CEO will proceed. This approach ensures stability as the Group continues to move forward with its long-term strategy.
John has served the GGF Group with dedication and commitment for over six years, guiding it through significant phases of growth and transformation. His leadership at the Group builds on a career of more than 40 years in the glazing industry, including senior managerial and directorial roles at Toughglass Ltd and Independent Glass Ltd.
His contribution to both the GGF Group and the wider industry has been exceptional, and he leaves an enduring legacy of service and leadership. The Group extends sincere thanks and appreciation to John for his passion and commitment over the years. He will be greatly missed.
John said, “It has been an honour and a privilege to lead the GGF Group over the past six years. Working alongside so many dedicated colleagues, Members and partners has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I am very proud of what we have achieved together and the role the Group continues to play in supporting and advancing the glazing industry. As I step back, I do so with full confidence in the Board, the EMG, and the talented people across the Group to carry forward our strategy and build on this strong foundation.”
