Indonesian PT Mulia Industrindo, a member of the Mulia Group, has announced that it posted a net profit of 51.07 billion rupiah in the first half of 1996 against 25.18 billion rupiah in the same period of last year, while operating revenue rose to 227.25 billion rupiah from 130.92 billion rupiah. The company said the significant increase was due mainly to the commercial production of its new plants, including its second block glass factory (with an annual capacity of 21,600 tons), second bottle glass production unit (57,600 tons), second flat glass production unit (216,000 tons) and first floor ceramic tile plant (5.4 million square metres).
