The leading container inspection firm MSC announced that following the growing success of its equipment in Asia, it is to open a new office in the region in February. France-based MSC, a subsidiary of food and beverage maker Danone, will be based at the Hong Kong headquarters of its parent company. Gregory Lecat, an MBA graduate, will be in charge of this office. “Our aim is to meet still better the demand of the Asian glass manufacturers for no contact and no rotation high speed equipment and to propose them the best solutions and the best service suited to their requirements,” said Lecat and Jean-Luc Logel, sales and marketing director, in a joint statement. MSC claims to equip more than 80% of cold end production lines in Europe. In Asia, MSC says Bangkok Glass Industry, Thai Glass Industry (Thailand), JG Containers (Malaysia), Kangar Consolidated Industry (Indonesia), Dong Suh Glas, DongA Glass and Kumbi (South Korea) already rely on its equipment. The French firm added that it will take part in the main glass manufacturing gatherings in the Asian region, including the AFGM conference, Glastech China, Glass Korea and Glass India.
