The Czech Republic“s Moser glassmaking company will organise an exhibition on the occasion of its 140th anniversary, director Antonin Vlk announced last week. The company said it will present 300 products in Karlovy Vary from 3 May to 31 August and in Prague from 16 October 1997 to 15 January 1998. Moser is also to present its new lines at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, Germany, in spring. On 24-28 March, Moser will organise a symposium in Karlovy Vary, in the Czech Republic, which is to be attended by artists in glassmaking from the Czech Republic, Sweden, the United States, Germany and Italy. This year“s symposium is to concentrate on glass cutting. Moser claimed that revenues for 1996 had risen by 25% with exports rising to 10%.
