On 22 January 1996, Compania Manufacturera de Vidrio del Peru Ltda SA, the Peruvian glassmaker paid out for a 19% stock split, a stock notice said. The split for both voting and non-voting stockholders corresponds to a capital increase approved by shareholders on 17 February 1995, the notice in the Lima stock exchange“s daily bulletin said. It did not give the size of the rise, but said social capital would rise to 51,101,690 soles and working capital to 13,685,392 soles. The notice added that, following the share split, all Manufacturera stock in circulation would enjoy the same rights and benefits. The firm, has a technical assistance contract with Vidrieria Monterrey SA of Mexico which expires in 2003.
