At a global sales meeting held in Oerlinghausen, Germany, earlier this year, Mr. H. J. Benninghoff, president of glass inspection and measurement equipment manufacturers LASOR Laser Sorter Inc. of the United States, announced a number of major new orders. Spanish glass producer Cristaleria Espanola has bought an OM 90 system for the measurement and detection of optical quality in its glass, while the installation of an LS 90 FJ film inspection unit at an Akzo Nobel plant in Germany was due for completion in October. In the Asian market, Lasor recently delivered an LS 90 FG and an SM 90 stress measuring unit to China“s Yaohua Glass, and also received an order from US firm Seaco for a TM 90 HOT thickness measurement device to be installed at a float glass plant in southern China. At the sales meeting, Mr. Benninghoff underlined the company“s commitment to quality and stressed the importance of customer service. Lasor will be present at Glastec “96.
