LandGlass: VacuMax™ Vacuum Insulating Glass Wins 2025 R&D 100 Award

Recently, the 2025 R&D 100 Award, a globally recognised authority in scientific and technological innovation, has officially announced their winners’ list. The next generation of VacuMax™ Vacuum Insulating Glass(VIG) by Vitro Architectural Glass has been selected as a winner. This achievement not only recognises the innovative value of the product, but also injects strong momentum into the future development of the entire vacuum insulating glass industry.

The R&D 100 Awards, often referred to as “The Oscars of Innovation,” was established in 1963 by R&D Magazine and is one of the most influential awards in the global research and development field. The R&D Awards annually recognises new technologies, products and materials that demonstrate both exceptional innovation and market potential, enjoying a high reputation internationally.

As the North American exclusive distributor of LandGlassLandVac, Vitro has introduced LandVac titanium vacuum insulating glass to the market under the brand of VacuMax™ VIG. The product leverages its industry-leading comprehensive performance in thermal insulation, noise reduction, and a slim and lightweight structure to effectively resolve the long-standing industry challenge of balancing high performance with lightweight profiles design, delivering a groundbreaking solution for green building construction throughout the region.

Based on its technological innovation and application value, VacuMax™ VIG has been honoured with the 75 Top Building Products 2022 by Building Design + Construction, the Product Innovation Award winners in 2022 and 2023 by Architectural Products, and the American E+E Leader Product&Project Awards 2025. With these five international awards, it has established a new benchmark for global green building technology innovation.

As of now, LandVac has successfully delivered various types of titanium vacuum insulating glass to over 1,000 construction projects across dozens of countries and regions worldwide, cumulatively reducing carbon emissions by approximately 16,535 tonnes. This provides a practical technological pathway and viable solutions for building energy efficiency, carbon reduction and the creation of comfortable, healthy living environments.

Moving forward, LandVac will continue to uphold its innovation principles, collaborating with global partners to advance the green transformation of the construction industry through superior technologies and products. This will continuously contribute to the vision of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
