Polish household glassware producer Krosno SA opened its Galeria Krosno store in Krakow, southeastern Poland, on 17 March 2005, the company said. It is the company“s third store in Poland, after its outlets in Warsaw and Poznan. Krosno is aiming to have stores in all of Poland“s largest cities. Besides glassware, the company“s stores will also offer porcelain, cutlery and table linen. The Krosno group comprises glassworks in Krosno, Tarnow and Jaslo, as well as fiberglass producer Krosglas. Krosno posted a consolidated net profit of PLN 18.5 million (USD 6.1 million/EUR 4.6 million) and a PLN 14 million (USD 4.6 million/EUR 3.4 million) non-consolidated net profit for 2004. Krosno intends to set up two foreign trade companies, including Krosno Ukraina to operate in neighbouring Ukraine and Krosno Pacific to trade with Australia, Indonesia and other southeast Asia countries in 2005.
