Its current forecast for 1998 is at 725 million yen, compared with 722 million a year earlier, and a net of 250 million versus 240 million a year earlier. Earnings per share are estimated at 4.88 yen compared with 4.69 a year earlier. Iwaki Glass“ parent results for the year to 31 December 1997 are as follows: sales were at 26.34 billion yen versus 25.84 billion a year earlier. Current results stand at 722 million yen compared with 684 million a year earlier.
