The Polish glassmaker Jutrzenka SA (Irena) recently announced figures for December 1996 and for the full-year. In December, profits were down on the previous year (Zl 0.20 million compared to Zl 0.51 million) although sales improved to Zl 5.93 million from a 1995 figure of Zl 2.88 million. For the full year, from January to December, profits were slightly down on the previous year at Zl 6.66 million (Zl 7.07 million in 1995) while sales were around 20% up, totalling Zl 60.72 million compared to 1995“s Zl 51.37 million.
