The German glass processing company Interpane Glas Industrie AG is to expand its activities and form a metal coating operation with Interpane Solar Beschichtungs GmbH & Co for the production of solar collection panels. A method will be used for coating the metal which is energy-saving and more environmentally friendly than current methods for the production of solar collectors, according to the Interpane board. Production is scheduled to start at the beginning of 1998. In 1996 Interpane achieved turnover of DM 248 million.
