ift Rosenheim listed as a recognised laboratory by Keystone Certifications

For manufacturers who want to export their products to the US, testing according to the relevant American standards such as ASTM, AAMA and NAFS is essential. These standards ensure that the products meet the high requirements of the North American market and are therefore an important basis for approval there.

ift Rosenheim and the certification body Keystone Certifications in the US have now agreed to work together. This allows European manufacturers to have their products such as windows, doors or safety glass tested in Germany and thus gain access to the relevant certifications for the North American market. Long and cost-intensive transportation routes for test specimens are eliminated.

The inclusion of ift Rosenheim in the list of recognised laboratories by Keystone Certifications covers relevant test methods for windows, doors and glazing according to the following reference standards:
AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440
NAFS
ASTM E330
ASTM E283
ASTM E331
ASTM E547
ASTM F588
ANSI Z97.1

In addition to being recognised by Keystone Certifications, ift Rosenheim is accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) under the number D-PL-11349-01-00 for all of the above procedures.

Overall, the cooperation between ift Rosenheim and Keystone Certifications represents an important step for manufacturers who want to open up the US market. The possibility of carrying out tests according to recognised standards in Germany facilitates access to the necessary certifications. Accreditation by the DAkkS ensures the quality and reliability of the test methods. This enables the companies to position their products efficiently and in compliance with regulations on the North American market.
