Britain“s Heywood Williams Group has acquired Verns Quality Products Inc., based in Elkhart, Indiana, US, and Columbia Plastics, Inc., based in Nashville, Tennessee, US, for an aggregate cash consideration of US$ 9 million. Verns, which manufactures a broad range of doors – principally for the manufactured housing industry – and has annual sales of US$ 16 million, is expected to compliment Heywood Williams“ Creation Windows division, which fabricates both aluminium and vinyl windows for the same customer base. Columbia, which manufactures PVC pipe products for the housing market in the south-east of the US and has annual sales of US$ 10 million, will expand Heywood Williams“ Bristolpipe division which currently operates from plants in Indiana and Pennsylvania, US.
