German Heraeus is planning capital expenditure of DM 220 million in 1996, of which DM 150 million will be spent in Germany. DM 70 million is to be invested on expanding its Bitterfeld quartz glass facility. It will also expand quartz glass production in the UK, Japan, Korea, China and the US.
