The multinational glassmaker Glaverbel, based in Belgium, hopes to improve its unfavourable results from the first half of the year with the help of the new furnace for float glass production at its Czech subsidiary Glavunion. The float glass line was launched in the town of Retenice on September 3 after six months of reconstruction. Glavunion has an annual turnover of Kc 5 billion, making up around 15% of Glaverbel“s overall turnover.
