Gerresheimer has once again been awarded Gold by the sustainability rating provider EcoVadis.
EcoVadis evaluates the management systems of companies worldwide in the categories of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. More than 150,000 companies are evaluated by EcoVadis every year.
In the latest rating, Gerresheimer increased its score from 76 points in 2024 to a new high of 78 out of 100 points, placing the company among the top 4 percent of all assessed companies and within the top 1 percent of its industry. This rating result underscores the progress Gerresheimer has made in implementing its sustainability strategy.
Internationally recognised sustainability rating
EcoVadis’ extensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment catalogue is based on internationally recognised standards such as the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the ISO 26000 standard, the CERES principles and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
The EcoVadis rating thus covers a wide range of information on the performance of companies in the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, taking into account industry-specific characteristics. Additionally, EcoVadis incorporates a wide range of publicly available information such as news, NGO reports, government publications and court rulings into its assessment as part of its 360 degree monitoring.

As part of its formula g corporate strategy, Gerresheimer has set ambitious goals to achieve measurable progress in climate protection, circular economy, responsible supply chains, and social responsibility. With clear performance indicators, regular transparent reporting, and independent assessments, Gerresheimer ensures that progress is documented comprehensively and can be compared with international benchmarks.
Gerresheimer publishes an annual sustainability report and discloses relevant data on the EcoVadis platform and as part of the CDP rating.
