Recently, Ardagh welcomed officials from Germany’s Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) to its glass production facility in Lünen, Germany, for discussions on grid tariffs, industrial and energy policy and decarbonisation.

The exchange focused on issues of particular relevance to energy‑intensive industries such as glass manufacturing and provided an opportunity to share perspectives on current challenges and priorities in the transition to lower‑carbon glass packaging.

Stable policy frameworks and competitive energy costs remain essential to support investment in decarbonisation and the long‑term sustainability of glass production.
