In June this year Fonderie Valdelsane was awarded ISO 9002 certification for its quality standards. Established in 1961, the Italian foundry has introduced its range of products to the European market which, it says, is undergoing continuous changes. Sales for the first 6 months of this year have risen by 15% for Fonderie Valdelsane whose production quality has improved consistently, up to the present high quality standards with the K250 cast iron series. In the first six months, export has remained stable, at the same level has 1995. K250 cast iron represents the standard cast iron used in Italy for the production of moulds and other glassmaking accessories, whose qualitative aspects basically consist of greater ease in processing and polishing, indeformability, thermic elimination and resistance to thermic fatigue, resulting in longer lifespan. Fonderie Valdelsane will participate at Glastec “96 in Dsseldorf this October and is registered at hall 13, stand C25. Participation is also planned for the next Glassman “97 exhibition scheduled to be held in Lyon, France.
