Heinz-Glas wanted to replace its old gas furnace with Fives’ all-electric melting technology to produce luxury cosmetic bottles for the glass packaging industry. To address this need, Fives installed its Prium® E-Melt technology, which offers reduced emissions and increased energy efficiency to significantly decarbonize glass production.
The furnace installation was part of Heinz-Glas’ commitment to create a more sustainable industry and reduce CO2 emissions on site. Since becoming operational at the end of 2024, the new furnace can produce 70 tonnes per day, setting a new standard for both production and sustainability.
