German glass manufacturer Deutsche Spezialglas AG (Desag) has announced that it has made 54-year-old Dr. Ing. Gerhard Bachmann a full board member, replacing Norbert Reisert. Dr. Bachmann will be responsible for both technical glass and technology and development. Mr. Reisert will be responsible for the expanded optics division at the Schott group, which includes Desag.
