On March 11, the Board of Directors of Glass for Europe convened for the association’s General Assembly, where members confirmed the leadership of Davide Cappellino (AGC Glass Europe) for another term. The Board unanimously re-elected Cappellino as Chairman for a second two-year mandate.
At a moment of significant challenge for the European flat glass sector, Cappellino underlined the need for strong collective action to safeguard the industry.
“In today’s complex landscape where our sector faces weak demand and witnesses massive increase in imports of flat glass products from China supported by aggressive pricing, I am honoured to continue as Chairman of Glass for Europe to guide us through these difficult times and guarantee we undertake all that is possible to defend and promote European manufacturing and excellence in the flat glass sector,” said Cappellino.
Montserrat De La Fuente (Saint-Gobain Glass) will serve as Vice-Chairwoman alongside Cappellino.
