The Board of UK-based tempered safety glass manufacturer Darby Group Plc., recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with glass processors, J.K. Holdings of Denmark. Under the terms of the agreement, J.K. Holdings will sell Darby“s range of bent tempered glass products and printed decorative products. The contract is expected to generate additional sales of approximately UK 1.2 million in the first year. J.K. Holdings intend to distribute Darby“s products in Denmark and other Scandinaviancountries where Darby is not currently represented. During the last twelve months, Darby has concentrated on overseas markets. Its strategy is to develop relationships with established glass companies in individual countries where there is growing demand for tempered glass. In May 1995, Darby signed a contract with Weidemann Group of Germany which is expected to generate additional sales of UK 23 million in the three years commencing December 1995. This contract is already generating sales ahead of expectations.
