The Spanish curved glass manufacturer filed for bankruptcy in December with debts over EUR 60 million

Based in Spain, Cricursa is facing a future liquidation if a buyer cannot be found soon. The company filed for bankruptcy in December, having been hit hard by the financial impact of the pandemic. Their factory in Balaguer has closed operations, and workers gathered to protest their uncertain future as well as for not being paid for several months. Should the remaining factory in Vallès Oriental close, it wound mean the loss of hundreds of local jobs.

Reportedly, Cricusa is talking with a buyer from Spain, but for now the details have not been shared with the press. In the meantime, the plants workers are struggling with an ERTO (Estimated Return to Operation), leaving them in a legal grey area with regards to their owed wages.
