Comshare, Inc. announced on 12 March that international materials technology provider Cookson Group plc and a Comshare(R) customer since 1984, has implemented Comshare“s next generation of financial consolidation software. Cookson“s close relationship with Comshare has enabled the company to migrate from mainframe, DOS, and Windows versions of the software to today“s web version: Comshare FDC(TM) Web Workstation. Comshare FDC Web Workstation is used for management reporting and serves as the underpinnings for the company“s state-of-the-art financial web site, “Cookson Insight.” The new application dramatically improves access to and navigation of information for 500 business units; empowers managers who can generate their own reports from the corporate database; eliminates hours in maintenance; reduces duplicated data; and increases data quality and accuracy.
