4 February 1999: Canada“s Consumers Packaging Inc. said it plans to issue US$ 75 million of senior notes due 2005 to certain institutional investors, to raise working capital. Moody“s Investors Service Inc. has assigned a B1 rating to the notes. Moody“s also assigned a Ba2 to the Toronto-based company“s new C$ 85-million secured bank credit facility, maturing 2001. Concurrently, it confirmed the Ba3 rating on Consumers International Inc.“s US$ 170 million of senior secured notes. The senior implied rating is Ba3. The ratings outlook is “stable,” the rating agency said.
