UK-based fire glass manufacturer; CGI International Ltd. has announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with Oldcastle Glass for North American distribution of its clear fire rated product, Pyroguard glass. Pyroguard clear fire rated glass is said to be unique in its field because it can be stocked in sheet form and cut locally as required. Tested by both Underwriters Laboratories and Warnock Hersey for 20 minute fire applications and meeting CPSC 16-CFR 1201-98 Category 1 and ANSI Z97.1 (1984) impact safety ratings, Pyroguard is indicated for use in wood and steel doors and can be used in specific sidelite, transom and borrowed lite applications. Pyroguard has already been approved for use by leading fire door manufacturers and lite kit companies.
