Building material and fibreglass producer CertainTeed Corporation of the United States has purchased the assets of another US firm, Fashonwall Products Company Inc., which has been producing CertainTeed high-performance vinyl windows under licence since 1979. Fashonwall manufactures and sells vinyl windows throughout Michigan and northern Indiana from its new 70,000-square-foot facility with 90 employees. As a CertainTeed subsidiary, Fashonwall will operate as “Fashonwall – A CertainTeed Company.” The new general manager of Fashonwall will be Putnam Renwick, formerly vice president and business manager of CertainTeed“s Wolverine Vinyl Siding business. CertainTeed has also purchased one of the United States“s biggest PVC fence manufacturers, Bufftech Inc.
