Since 1846 the name Rckl has been inextricably associated with the production of artistic glass of the highest quality in Bohemia. Jiri Rckl, the director and owner of Antonin Rckl and Sons, together with 330 employees produce artistic products from hand-cut lead crystal – over 24% PbO – at the Nizbor glassworks in the Czech Republic. The company, famous for their unique collections, such as sports trophies, luxury tableware sets and gift items, has recently restructured and upgraded its production line to guarantee excellent product quality levels in the wake of a rise in demand. According to a press release, aware of the extreme importance of perfect hot treatment in the annealing of its artistic products, Mr. Rckl acquired high technology from Car-Met. Since the first few months of 1996, Car-Met has supplied the glassworks with 2 annealing lehrs equipped with continuous belts, with methane gas heating, which were developed specifically for hot treatment of particular and original artistic products. In particular, the lehrs supplied by the Italian firm have double belts for transporting the crystal products, allowing for the contemporaneous hot treatment of articles with different weights, thicknesses and shapes, while providing excellent quality results, as well as production flexibility.
