Italy“s Bormioli Rocco, which heads a group specialising in the glass sector, plans to lift its capital by Lire 75 billion and allow the entry of new shareholders. Group chairman Rocco Bormioli called a shareholders“ meeting for 6 December 1996 to examine proposals for a complex operation on capital. The operation envisages a capital writedown, share splitting and a double recapitalisation with partial exclusion of option rights. The move is aimed at allowing the entry of new shareholders in the company“s capital, or the offer of a share package on the bourse.
