Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe (AGP-Europe), an operating business of Ardagh Group, was recognised with a Rising Star award at the British Glass 2025 Glass Focus Awards, recognising excellence in industry talent.
The Rising Star accolade was presented to Mark McColl, Maintenance Team Leader at AGP-Europe’s Irvine facility in Scotland. Mark was recognised for his outstanding technical expertise, strong leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
Judges commended Mark for delivering measurable operational improvements, mentoring apprentices and junior engineers and fostering a culture of practical innovation. They noted, “Mark exemplifies the qualities of a young industry leader, combining technical skill, initiative and mentorship to make a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the business.”
Graeme Shepherd, AGP-Irvine Director of Operations, described Mark as “an exceptional individual whose professionalism, integrity and drive continue to raise the bar for everyone around him.”
AGP-Europe also congratulates Beatson Clark’s Charlotte Lax, who was jointly awarded the Rising Star title. Due to the exceptional standard of both finalists’ entries, judges selected two winners. Congratulations, Charlotte!
