As of 1 October, 1995 the American company Airco Coating Technology has changed its name to Boc Coating Technology. According to the company, the change is part of the global strategy of its parent company, The Boc Group, to link its businesses under one name and strengthen the company“s operations around the world. “The new name emphasises our membership in the Boc Group and our partnership with the Group“s businesses worldwide,” said Rod Stradling, President, Boc Coating Technology. The company explains that Boc Coating Technology has expanded its capabilities to include conductive, anti-reflective coatings used to reduce surface reflections and static build-up on cathode ray tubes and flat panel displays. The Boc Group operates in more than 60 countries with sales last year of US$ 5.54 billion. Philip Johnson, general manager of the American company“s glass division announced that Jimmy Green (in photo) had been appointed sales manager. According to the company, Mr. Green joined Boc to enhance the sales effort for the company“s glass coating systems, which deposit solar control and low-emissivity films for commercial, industrial, residential and curtainwall applications. Mr. Green“s previous experience includes sales, marketing and project management positions at Ocli in California, US and Viratec Thin Films Inc. in Minnesota, US.
