A net profit of SKr 30.9 million after net financial items, was posted by Orrefors, of Sweden, in the first nine months of 1995, up by 20% on 1994“s January-September profit of SKr 25.7 million. Operating profits rose to SKr 39.0 million from SKr 33.5 million, an increase of 16%. Turnover rose by 3% to SKr 490 million (January-September 1994: SKr 478 million). Sales of Orrefors brand products were unchanged, while sales of Kosta Boda products rose by 4%. Orrefors has issued a more precise profit forecast for the year, and now predicts profits will rise by at least 10% compared with the 1994 surplus of SKr 52.7 million. The company had earlier said only that 1995 profits would be better than those of 1994.
