Securit-Saint-Gobain Scandinavia has bought 51% of Estonia“s Elvex windscreen company shares. The price of the stake was EKr 21.25 million, according to a contract signed on 22 December 1995. The buyer paid 38.8% of the sum in privatization securities. The Swedish-based Securit-Saint-Gobain Scandinavia is a subsidiary of the French Securit-Saint-Gobain, one of the world“s leading glass producers and processors, with a 60% share of the European windscreen market. Elvex“s 1995 turnover was nearly EKr 56 million. Over 90% of the joint venture“s output is sold in Western Europe.
