As was indicated in Hepworth“s announcement of its results for the half year to 30 June 1996, Pierre Franken has been appointed as an executive director of the Company with effect from 1December 1996. Mr. Franken is 54 and joined Hepworth Saunier Duval in 1990 from United Technologies in Italy. He will succeed Jean-Francois Chene as managing director of Hepworth“s Saunier Duval division. Mr Chene has resigned as a director of Hepworth PLC with effect from 29 November 1996.
