The Laminating Division of the Glass Association of North America (GANA) will conduct its first ever Glass Laminating Seminar on 9-10 April 1997 at the O“Hare Hilton Hotel in Chicago, US. The event, which is designed for plant personnel and management from companies fabricating laminated architectural and automotive glass, will feature presentations by leading industry authorities. Bill Knutsen, GANA“s Laminating Division chairman says the intent of the seminar is to broaden the knowledge of industry members on processes, products, and standards to enhance the presence of laminated glass in the marketplace. Presentations on the latest in technical information relating to the laminating sector will be made in areas such as fundamentals of glass, development of PVB interlayers, laminating line operation, autoclaving and flat glass lamination, troubleshooting laminated glass manufacturing, the storing and handling of resins, high-speed production of resin laminates, and quality issues such as inspection. Companies participating as speakers include PPG Industries, DuPont, Billco Manufacturing, Northwestern Industries, Inc., Tamglass, Airtech, Ford Motor Company, UCB Radcure, Glasslam, GE Plastics, Morton International, Monsanto and HGP Industries.
