Mr. William Davidson, president and chief executive officer of Guardian Industries Corp. of the US, has donated US$ 30 million to an Israeli university, the Technion institute in Haifa, to create the world“s first business school devoted to managing high technology. “Israel has a critical need for a world-class business school that will equip its technological pioneers with the skills necessary to translate successes in the laboratory into successes in the global marketplace,” Davidson said in a statement. The school will provide university graduates and executives who have scientific and engineering degrees with the management skills required by high technology, export-oriented businesses, the American Technion Society said. The Technion, formally known as the Israel Institute of Technology, has 11,000 students studying science and engineering.
