The government of Belgium“s Walloon region has confirmed, at the initiative of the Minister-President responsible for the Economy, Robert Collignon, the rescue operation for three divisions of Verlipack – the Jumet and Ghlin units (for Hainaut) and the Mol unit (for Flanders) – at the conclusion of which the German firm Heye Glas will acquire control of the divisions and invest BFr 500 million. The Walloon Region will invest BFr 200 million in the operation and the Flemish Region BFr 100 million.
