The sale of US firm Tremco Inc., a subsidiary of BFGoodrich Co., to another US firm, RPM, is scheduled to be completed in early 1997. Tremco, which manufactures sealants and coatings for building construction, building maintenance and retail markets, had 1995 sales of US$ 350 million. RPM, a manufacturer of industrial coatings and sealants for waterproofing and general maintenance, corrosion control and other speciality chemical applications, had sales of US$ 1.1 billion in the fiscal year ending 31 May 1996.
