Mr. H. Kennedy Linge, associate general counsel and corporate secretary of PPG Industries of the United States, has been elected as a vice president of the company. He joined PPG as an attorney in 1973 and advanced through posts of increasing responsibility to corporate counsel in 1988. He was elected treasurer of the company in 1991, and held that post until returning to the law department in 1994 as associate general counsel and secretary. Linge was previously law clerk to a judge of the federal district court for western Pennsylvania, and earlier was a Securities and Exchange Commission attorney. Mr. Linge is a business graduate of Pennsylvania State University, US, and has a law degree from Duquesne University. He is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania and the US Supreme Court.
