The Morrison Knudsen Corporation (MK) of the United States announced at the end of January that it had been awarded a three-year contract by US group PPG Industries, Inc. to provide facilities-management services at PPG Chemical“s Research & Development Centre in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, US. The contract was awarded to the firm“s Engineering & Construction Group and calls for management of the operations and maintenance of the PPG complex. “Over the years, our Engineering & Construction Group has provided engineering and construction services to PPG. We now look forward to taking on significant responsibility for the operation and maintenance services, enabling PPG to focus on its R & D activities,” said Robert A. Tinstman, MK“s president and CEO.
