Finnish machinery and power group Kyro“s safety glass unit Tamglass said it had won around FM 70 million (US$ 12 million) worth of orders from biennial trade fairs in Italy (Vitrum) and the US (American Inter Glass Metal). “Both trade fairs were highly successful events for us,” said Pentti Salin, vice president, sales at Tamglass. “We regarded Vitrum as the most important trade fair this year, but we are still positively surprised by the amount of visitors and commercial activity.” Tamglass said the agreed contracts are global and that a significant part of them will take place in the first half of 2000.
