Finnish wood industry machinery group Raute Oyj increased its net profit to Euro 4.8 million in the January – September 2001 period from a net profit of Euro 1.5 million for the same period in 2000. The operating profit totalled Euro 3.1 million for the first nine months of 2001, or 3.0% of the turnover, down from an operating profit of Euro 4.5 million for the same 2000 period. The company reported a turnover of Euro 104. 8 million for the first three quarters of 2001, compared to Euro 103.2 million for the same period of 2000. Earnings per share stood at Euro 0.48 at end-September 2001, compared to Euro 0.46 at end-September 2000.
