The output of all major chemical products except soda ash reported increases in Russia in the first 9 months of the year. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced that output of soda ash reached 6.65 million tons during the period, a decrease of 2% year-on-year. The country produced 5.9 million tons of chemical fibre in the first 9 months, up 16.9% from last year. In September, China produced 1.04 million tons of plastic products, an increase of 11.3% year-on-year and of 6% from the previous month. Ethylene output in the month dropped by 1.1% year-on-year to 364,500 tons, while the monthly output of synthetic detergent stood at 252,800 tons, down 3.1% on a yearly basis.
