Japanese glassmaker Asahi Glass intends to unify with the glass frit division of its electronics, industrial, optical and houseware glass materials subsidiary, Asahi Technoglass on 1 April 2002. The merger is aimed at attaining a sales turnover worth JPY 10 billion Japanese yen by 2005 by improving production, product development and marketing efficiency.
